Important: Existing Office apps for Android installations will continue to function but will not receive updates or security fixes. Additionally, users will not be able to download Office apps for Android on Chromebooks once they have been removed from the Google Play store. Office apps for Android on Chromebooks will no longer receive updates beginning November 1, 2021. Note: This change does not affect Android devices. For Chromebook devices using Microsoft Intune's app protection policies (APP, also known as mobile application management (MAM)), app protection policies will no longer apply for Android Microsoft 365 apps once they are removed from the Google Play Store and can no longer receive updates.
